Our Story

Born in Boston, inspired by the world.

Our founder, Genesis Rogers, was exploring the world’s coolest destinations before there were guidebooks. A true traveler and nature lover, GR followed his motto to “explore everything, preserve the best” and opened a small shop called “The Soap Box” to sell the unique soaps he collected on his travels. Fast forward to 1971, and his passion project grew into a global business – Genesis Rogers was born.

Like all of us, fifty years later, we look a little different, but our mission remains the same. To connect people and cultures by sharing quality beauty products, lifestyle accessories and stories from around the world. We’re also committed to giving back to the people and places that inspired us along the way through our “Explore to Grow” program. 5% of all profits from the Bali collection will be donated to the WAS Foundation, and this year we donated $35,000 to FLYTE to create travel opportunities for students from underprivileged communities.
